The 2nd Asian Peace Practitioners Research Conference was held in Siem Reap, Kingdom of Cambodia on the 6-8 of December 2013. The conference was organized by the Centre for Peace and Conflict Studies (CPCS) in Cambodia. The theme of the conference was, "Transforming Identity Conflicts in Asia". The event was participated by various scholars from different Asian and other countries such as Singapore, Myanmar, Cambodia, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, the Philippines, Australia, USA and others. "Conflict dynamics and security threats between and within Asian States are both multi layered and diverse in nature. The conference focused on identity base conflicts within Asia at the inter-state, intra-state and community level.
