VISUAL ART EXHIBIT OF THE STUDENTS REFLECTION ON JUDITH BUTLER'S WORK-GENDER TROUBLE

The Senior Class (Block A) of the Peace and Security Studies Program under Dr. Herbert B. Rosana, held a visual art exhibit on their reflections on the work of Judith Butler, "Gender Trouble".  Judith Butler is a post structuralist philosopher who explored the idea of the process of the development of gender identity.  Gender Studies is part of the Peace and Security Studies Curriculum.  This is consonance with our belief that gender equity and equality are part and parcel of the process of building a just society where everyone deserves space where they can develop their personalities and potentials as human persons.

Dr. Dolores Laguilles was the Guest Speaker at the Opening of the Exhibit.  Dr. Laguilles is sociologist and a feminist.

Judith Butler, Philosopher, feminist, and author of the book "Gender Trouble".
